It’s a rational combination of herbal hypoglycaemics. Its effects resemble that of sulfonylureas and biguanides. Glucomap has both pancreatie as well as extra pancreatic action (Momordica cherantia and Eugenia jambolana). Glucomap stimulates beta cells of pancreas (Aegle marmelos), increases peripheral utilisation of glucose and arrests glycogenolysis.
With diabetes of any type, the body is not able to properly utilize glucose, which is a source of energy for the body. Glucomap helps to make glucose processing more efficient. It stimulates the function of the pancreas, which synthesizes an insulin hormone that helps the processing of glucose, and also stops the breakdown of glucogen into glucose. In addition, it helps reduce cholesterol and improve lipid metabolism, activates the production of a liver enzyme and is involved in eliminating its toxicity.
The drug* also prevents diabetes complications. For example, it protects cardiovascular tissue and nerve tissue from degenerative changes (organ damage). It is known that diabetes causes such changes that lead to dire consequences, such as heart attack, stroke, kidney disease, vision, gangrene (necrosis of body tissues).
In difficult cases, including if diabetes of the second type is difficult to treat, Glucomap is used as an adjunct to complex therapy.
