The teaching profession in India, as well as throughout the world, is highly respected. After all, teachers spend more time with our children than we – parents.
She has an unusual biography. She was brought up in a respected lawyer family – her father and grandfather were great lawyers. And, as is usually the case, children also follow in the footsteps of their parents and she went through that pass as well. Duru graduated the university, got a law degree and started a job. She often had to travel to England for work. Her father also worked there at a prestigious company. She became a great lawyer in London. But her heart wanted something else. After working as a lawyer for several years, Duru realized that this profession was not her vocation, and she decided to retrain as a teacher.
After retiring Duru returned to her homeland – India – where she still helps children and adults to learn English. This wonderful teacher tries to find a special approach to each student. We are very lucky! This is the best teacher in the world! We feel very lucky! She is the best teacher for us! Not even a teacher – a friend. She always welcomes us at home. She used to talk about India, about customs, about people. When she found out that we had not yet been on a sightseeing tour in Mumbai, she organized the route herself and went with us.
